Notes from home...
Well, being in Northern California has been wonderful so far...
The real reason I came home was for a surprise 70th birthday party we through for my grandmother. She was shocked! My aunts from Idaho and Alaska flew down around the same time I did, and we all rode back to Red Bluff together...then surprised my grandmother! So fun! The party was great--though my cousins and I didn't stay long because we went to the last half of our high-school's Homecoming game. My family is awesome, and it has been so great today to spend time with my aunts, my grandparents, my cousins, and my mom. We spent time around Red Bluff today, just walking around to different shops, visiting, etc. My cousin Kristin and I got pillowcases to embroider, and they match. Aw, how cute! :) LOL. I'm farther along with my sewing than she is (even though I accidently bit off part of my needle and ate it...yeah, I'm serious!) Tomorrow my grandma and I are playing mandolins in church, which will be great. So fun to play music with my family! This afternoon was spent going through pictures from my aunts' and my mom's childhood--including some of me when I was a baby as well...so great! Anyway, I love Nor Cal. I have yet to study at all, but it's okay. Family is far more important! :) Have a wonderful weekend! |
