Here it is... :)
Here's my life in a nutshell:
Life is good!
I am supposed to sign the lease tomorrow for our house (yay!), and we plan to move in next week. So exciting! I have lived in three places over the past 2 months, and I'm ready to be settled in...and knowing that I'll be at this house for at least a year brings such comfort to me! It's been quite the journey to get this house, but the Lord has provided for us--as always!
I've had to really surrender a certain area of my life to the Lord this week, and it's quite possibly the hardest thing I've had to let go of thus far...but I know that I'm doing the right thing, and I know that the Lord will honor this...after all, it's been said, "If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours forever. If it doesn’t, then it was never meant to be.” (Yeah, it's not a biblical quote, but it's still true!)...
Work is going well...I've been at this job for a year now! So crazy! I also have now been out of college for two years, and that is hard to believe sometimes. I look back on the past two years, and while I know that I have grown tremendously, and I have accomplished quite a bit, I still wonder what's truly in store for my life. I have learned to not measure success or accomplishments by the world's standards, but by the Lord's standards, and that has given me a new perspective entirely. I am very excited for the time when the Lord reveals to me His calling on my life, but I am also content where I am (Philippians 4:11), waiting and serving Him in the meantime.
I'm going to be scheduling my MRI this week, as a continuation of the 10 year investigation into my arm/nerve damage. I'm not all that excited--because it's going to cost some money, though I don't know how much yet--but if it can bring an ultimate solution, then I will do it.
This summer is going to be awesome--but busy, as usual...mission trip, family reunion, youth group events, normal activities...it's still so strange to me to not have a "summer vacation" like we did in college...LOL...being an adult isn't always that great, I'm discovering :)
My family is doing well...my friends are doing well...my best-friend and his wife are going to be parents in about 6-7 weeks! So crazy! :) I'm very excited to be an "aunt"...LOL...
God is doing amazing things in my life, and I am doing my best to just rest in Him and His love during these times of stress and busyness. He is so faithful and so loving...
Until next time...
