Mama Dess...

It was SO great to see Dess yesterday! She is 82 years old, but she seems as young as ever! She can still play the piano SO well, too. What a blessing it is to have her in my life!

The man in the picture is a family friend that I have also known since I was born. Gary and his wife Nancy let me live with them the summer after my senior year in high school while I interned with a lobbyist in Sacramento, and they have always been such an example and a blessing to me.

Yesterday was filled with sadness and joy, but mostly joy. We know that Papa Dave is with Jesus, and we know that we will see him again someday! It was also a joy to see so many loved ones that have been so faithful through the years.
