Thoughts...
I just spent a wonderful--yet exhausting--four days in Washington, D.C. I went for the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the American Studies Program (where I spent my Fall semester of 2003, interning for Newt Gingrich). It was incredible--great speakers, amazing friends...people who truly understand the passion we share for justice and Shalom.
My most fervent prayer this weekend was that the Lord would clearly show me where I am supposed to be. I was concerned that it would be incredibly difficult to be back in the city which I thought was to be my home a year ago...yet, as I was there, I realized that I would not be as happy there as I am here in SoCal.
I was surprised, to say the least...but it was also confirmed when I went to work this morning. I was so happy to be at work, with my co-workers...
I am at peace, I am content, knowing that--for the time being--I am where God wants me to be...
Below are some pictures from my adventure. Of course, I took far more than I can post here, so there are only a few. :)
