That has been a hard lesson for me to learn--and now I am realizing that it is so true. Words are so powerful...they can be edifying or they can tear someone apart. A chapel speaker last week addressed this topic, and it is something that is becoming more apparent every day of my life...

Be careful to only say what you mean and to mean what you say....
