Another poem from Cameron

Fresh Morning
cameron crawford

New sky. Fresh winds.
Coffee streams as the sunrise
greets my face.
Rays of light strewn across
the landscape, welcome the eager
endeavors of the day.
My heart leaps with earnest
expectation of a life still draped
in a cloak of mystery.
My aim will be to peel back the
folds of this day,
and unleash my immediate destiny.

So eloquent...so thought-provoking...

Chapel today focused on God's magnificent creation. I normally do not go to the "Creative Arts" chapels, but I did today...and I am so glad that I did! It was beautiful, simply beautiful. And one of the students who spoke said something that really has caused me to think...He painted a picture, with words, of God in heaven, looking down upon His creation...and how wonderful it was when He watched his people asleep...because when we sleep, we are not worrying, we are not busy, we are not consumed with our image...we are simply existing...and that alone is worship! How often do I have my time in the "Garden," just me and my Lord, with nothing else on my mind? Rarely...not often enough...so it just struck me as being so profound that God may truly enjoy watching us sleep, watching us rest...

Anyway, just something to think about...also, reading more about post-modernism...Mike and I are reading the book "A New Kind of Christian," and it is intriguing...more thoughts as they come.

Rain today...probably not even 50 degrees...:( Sad!
