Another stupid person's comment...
The one day that I don't go to class, something exciting happens...okay, so it isn't the ONE day...but yeah. :) Apparently, "the moron" in my Current Events class opened his mouth yesterday without thinking...as usual...and what I heard from my sources is that he said something to this effect: "I wholeheartedly believe that homosexuality is wrong; I believe that the Bible says so, and there is no question about it..." (if he had left it at that, I would have been shocked)...he then proceeded to say: "However, I am one of the most outspoken gay-rights activists that exist."
Um, okay, perhaps I am missing something, but that seems totally ludicrous to me! I guess the prof agreed, and commented on that, saying that "the moron" should go to San Francisco and tell them what he just said in class; he wouldn't survive!
Why wasn't I there?! Darn being sick!! I knew that I would miss something "exciting..."
Anyway, things aren't bad here. We have no classes next Tuesday (PRAISE THE LORD!) because of a "School Specific Activity Day." History/Political Science has no plans, so we have no classes! That is my busiest day, so I am welcoming the break!
I can't believe that one week ago today I was at Olivet...in Illinois...FREEZING...time really flies by!
I have been planning Mike's visit to California, perhaps spending too much time on that...:) I am going to give him the best week-long California experience possible, complete with the possibility of Disneyland, a Mission, Universal CityWalk (perhaps some celebrities--I have seen a few there!), sunset on the beach, the Bonaventure in downtown LA (a rotating cocktail lounge with the most amazing views of LA)...etc. I am looking forward to just hanging out with him! My mentor is going to take him to lunch, which will be awesome. I know that they will have a great time!
So anyway...probably got a C on my Theology exam today, because my brain totally blanked out...I could not recall several portions of the exam...but I usually do better than I think I did, so we'll see.
Back to work...:) Maybe the hot guy who came in two weeks ago will come in tonight and talk to me again! HAHA...
