And the stress continues...
Life is filled with far too much drama...and I don't like it. I would rather have things be clear, simple, no miscommunications...I am just tired of it...probably mainly because I don't have time for it! Life is TOO SHORT to worry about such petty things...yet we still do...I still do...sigh...Pray about housing for next year...I don't know where I am going to live, or with whom. For now, I am considering just getting an apartment and waiting to see who the university places in there with me. God is in control, and I can't imagine that living with "random" people will be that bad--after all, I did that this semester!
Anyway, I just wanted to vent about that real quick.
Good news! I learned how to play the Mandolin last night! Well, 6 chords...but I learned that much in 5 minutes, so I can't wait until Spring break to sit down with my grandmother and play together! At our "Redneck" Bible study last night we had some good jam sessions--3 guitars, a "do bro" (not sure if that is how you spell it...it is basically like a steel guitar), a mandolin, a piano...we had an accordian player there, but no accordian...in our church we also have someone who plays banjo, and someone who plays jawharp. We are talking about doing special music in a couple of weeks and wearing overalls! :) YAY!
Mandolin is on my list of instruments to learn because it is one of the ones that my Great-Grandfather played...I got my musical talent from him (and his daughter, my grandmother), and this is something I have always wanted to do. This makes instrument #6, I believe, plus I sing...so I am getting there!
My current events presentation is 95% done...just need to make a few minor adjustments and run through it at least once before I present on Friday. My paper is...well, almost half done I guess. I want to get that done by tomorrow...then I have to study like crazy for my theology exam. Luckily, in class today our prof went over all the terms that are on the study guide (at least 100, my guess), so that saves the time of having to look them all up in our notes, etc. So now I just have to commit them to memory, study the short essay topics and make sure that I know scripture to back up my answers. I haven't even begun to think about the paper for Research and Writing yet. I will write that on Thursday night, probably, because by then that will be all I have left to do (hopefully!!). So anyway, that is the status of my work load.
I should be in class right now, but I figured that since he doesn't take attendance and they weren't discussing anything that I have to know for the paper or the exam, that my time would be better spent working on the stuff that is due this week. :) Justified ditching...
Sometime this week I have to pack...no idea when that will happen. I am trying to make it through the week without doing laundry, because I have no quarters left and I am going home anyway! :) My mom expects me to bring it all home, so I will oblige her!
More later...
